Selfish cow on the road

Not ever before I was called selfish or something similar to that. You guys, my friends and family know me... hopefully not as a selfish person. It comes as a surprise to me that a travel buddy calls you that, especially after sharing everything and making the best out of it.

The climax situation was as follow. I got a from one of the couchsurfers in Kalbarri a book as a gift. Only a tiny one, but with three great stories. As everyone else already had a book (1 in English and the other one in German) I had a bit of a problem to get a book exchange. I told my travel buddies that they can read this tiny book in the meantime. Fortunately enough on a camp site in Exmouth they had books. I tried to buy one, but I was told it is a book exchange free of charge only. Excellent you would think? I exchanged the book I got from that couchsurfer into a thick English book so everyone can read it if we, travel buddies, exchange the books among ourselves.

Surprisingly enough when I told them that I finally got a new book so we can exchange among us, it was received negatively. This was the response: “But I didn’t read it yet”, “Oh, well that is selfish of you”.

The worse part is that I explained not being selfish, but they think different. It is striking to see that if something finds something not going as they want it, they call the other selfish. The worst is that they even stick to that word to describe my character because she thinks it is her perception. You know what? Fuck that perception and stick it in your ass, because I won’t allow myself to be called that. By the way, would you be able to travel with a selfish person? I guess not.

This is a friendship unworthy from my perception.

Note

I don’t like selfish people and would never be friends with them. I am very glad with my friends and family who don’t behave like that. If you ever catch me on this, please let me know.

For peace and harmony

Ciau,

Amar
