Focus in life – 4 eggs in a basket
Q: How How to prevent from falling back into old routines?
We all have our routines that we finally changed. Keeping these good intensions is somewhat harder. Sounds familiar? There is an easy method to stay focussed throughout the day, the week, and even the whole year.
It’s called “choosing 4 eggs in the basket”
You got an egg basket that can only hold four eggs. Not more. Each egg represents a task you want to complete by the end of the day. The idea is to complete all task as quickly as possible so that you got ample time off. As long as a task can be completed by the end of the day. If you would fail to complete, this will give you a bad feeling whereas ticking something off feels much better. By the end of the day you can look back on a productive day. Is there something else that needs to be done? Then, first look if this can go to the small things that you want to do. Is it too big, then this moves as a separate task to the next day.
There is always one egg that doesn’t change: It’s you! You are important and must remain healthy and balanced. Sports, meditation, social events, or yoga could be part of this egg.
The other three tasks are carefully chosen by the end of each day, so that you can have a heads start. This could be work related, but cleaning the house could be also a task.
